The first Burnham Market Horse Trials ran at Sussex Farm in 1999, and over the years it has become well established within the eventing calendar. It was awarded international status in 2003 and now the event hosts a range of classes.
There are two international classes held over the three days. It's also a fantastic day out for all the family. Alongside the top class competition, there are more than 50 shops and entertainment for children, including bungee trampolines, bouncy castles and a climbing wall.
Alec Lochore is Event Director of Burnham Market International Horse Trials. He was Eventing Manager for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Technical Delegate for the Rio 2016 Olympics and Badminton Horse Trials, and Event Organiser of the 2015 FEI European Championships.
